The Civic Reception for international students attending college or university in Ayr at the end of last month was a great success.
The Provost of South Ayrshire and Rotary President Don welcomed over 60 students from 21 different countries to Ayr Town Hall where they were entertained to drinks and a buffet supper. Thereafter the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra encouraged all onto the floor for a session of Scottish country dancing. Rotarians and partners attempted to lead the young people in the intricacies of The Gay Gordons and the Dashing White Sergeant – not very well in some cases! A good night of fun and fellowship was had in the fostering of international relationships. Muir Austin
