The Rotary Club of Ayr supports the Hazard Heroes event each year at the Dam Park, Ayr. The event is attended by 1200 P7 pupils from all over South Ayrshire
The safety promotion event is held over a three-week period and giving demonstrations are representatives from:-

| HM Coastguards | NHS Ayrshire and Arran |
| Strathclyde Fire and Rescue service | Crime prevention panel volunteers |
