Bowling
Rotary Club of Ayr is keen to encourage bowlers new and old. A range of events are held throughout the year – watch the forthcoming events section for details.
April – Mixed Bowling Indoors with partners.
June – Friendship Cup – This is run by the Rotary Club of Ayr at Kirkmichael for all clubs in Ayrshire.
July – Blair Trophy – Scottish Rotary Bowling Championship, currently held at Alloa. Format is usually an afternoon match with meal to follow.
August –
- Rotary versus Kirkmichael Bowling Club at Kirkmichael.
- Rotary Club of Ayr Mixed Fun Day. For Rotarians and partners (with or without experience). Wine during the game with meal to follow makes this a most enjoyable day.
October – District 1230 Indoor Bowling Championships held on a Sunday afternoon at the Galleon Centre, Kilmarnock. Event organised by previous years winner and includes a meal after the match.
Rotary Club of Ayr is also represented at the Ayr Indoor Bowling Club by a team including 2 Ayr Rotarians, I Alloway Rotarian, 2 former Rotarians and one from out with Rotary
